Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep a separate log of the search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. We do not disclose it beyond our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may receive routine technical details about the visit:
- Page-view dates and times
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- IP address assigned to the device
- Visited pages and time spent on them
- The referring site, when supplied
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. They and analytics services help combine traffic data, such as which pages are opened most and where visits end. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features behave.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Carbon County material remains with offices such as the sheriff and court clerks, while the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification maintains restricted UCCH histories and Utah DPS maintains the Utah Sex, Kidnap, and Child Abuse Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy policies govern submitted queries, retention, and sharing. We cannot set those practices. Review the applicable partner policy before entering a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Carbon County offices, Utah Courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's policy controls the visit. Check it before giving that site personal data.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and choose targeted ads.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be handled by:
- Analytics providers that measure use and performance
- Advertising networks serving material on the pages
- Search partners processing a submitted query
- Government authorities acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect information in our control. No internet system is risk free, so absolute security or uninterrupted protection cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such data is identified, it may be requested for deletion.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide rights over personal data. Utah government records are separately governed by the Government Records Access and Management Act, and dissemination of UCCH data is restricted by Utah Code § 53-10-108. Requests about data held by this private site may include:
- Correcting inaccurate information
- Obtaining a copy of information held about you
- Opting out of eligible forms of processing
- Seeking deletion where the law permits it
