NO FCRA USE. This privately run website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify official criminal-record channels in Carbon County and Utah. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is a private reference site with no government ties. It does not store official criminal records and cannot retrieve files, conduct official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.
The service identifies Carbon County custodians such as the sheriff and court clerks, along with the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification and the Utah Sex, Kidnap, and Child Abuse Offender Registry. Some pages also connect visitors with outside research tools.
2. Rules for Using This Site
By using the service, you agree not to:
- Run scrapers, bots, or other automated collection tools
- Attempt to reach systems or data without authorization
- Harass, stalk, intimidate, or threaten another person
- Use content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
- Disrupt the service or impede access for other visitors
- Violate federal, Utah, or local law
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information obtained here or through a linked tool must not be used to threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, or discriminate. Utah's registry warning bars harassment and threats involving a listed person or family and warns that criminal law may apply. The Utah Sex, Kidnap, and Child Abuse Offender Registry exists for safety awareness, not vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not prepare consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Our service and linked advertising tools are not offered for regulated screening. Content from either must not be used to:
- Make credit or lending decisions
- Evaluate employment
- Screen a renter or housing applicant
- Set insurance eligibility or pricing
- Make any other decision governed by the FCRA
A legally permitted check for a regulated purpose must come from an authorized official channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA.
5. No Legal Advice
The site supplies general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Carbon County charge, warrant, conviction, or Utah expungement rule applies to a particular person. Seek advice from a licensed Utah attorney.
6. No Warranties
All material is supplied "as is." We make no promise that:
- Partner results are complete, current, or correctly matched
- Every page is free from errors or security flaws
- The service will operate without interruption
- All published information is accurate or current
Charges, dispositions, access rules, seals, and expungements can change a record. Gaps and delays are possible. No page or result is an official statement from a sheriff, court, or other government custodian.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links lead to agencies, court portals, legal resources, and outside search providers that we do not control. Their availability, content, fees, and data practices are their responsibility. Review the destination's terms before using it.
8. Intellectual Property
Carbon County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, code, graphics, and logos. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, adapt, or build upon that material.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the site, its content, or an outside service reached through it.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the service or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.
11. Governing Law
Utah law governs these terms. Government records remain subject to the Government Records Access and Management Act, and Utah Code § 53-10-108 controls access to and dissemination of Utah Computerized Criminal History data. Those laws do not turn this private service into a government custodian or expand any right to restricted Carbon County records. Any dispute connected with the service must be brought in a court located in Utah.
12. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised. A new version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.
13. Cutting Off Access
Access may be limited or ended at any time, with or without prior notice.
14. Severability
If one term is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected language will be adjusted only as far as needed.
15. Questions
Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
